Biography
Dr. Vuslat Nur Şahin-Temel, is a lecturer at the Social Science University of Ankara, Institute for Area Studies, Asian Studies Department. She earned her Ph.D. from Waseda University’s Graduate School of International Culture and Communication in 2023. Her dissertation, ‘Japan’s Contributions to Non-Traditional Security in Asia: An Analysis within the Framework of Expanded Asian Supercomplex Theory’, was funded by the Ministry of National Education of Türkiye. Prior to this, she completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Middle East Technical University in Türkiye. Her academic pursuits are deeply rooted in critical theories, regionalism, and security issues, with a particular focus on Asia. She has also benefited from the rich experiences provided by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho) Scholarship.
