The article titled "Introduction Turkey and Africa: Motivations, Challenges and Future Prospects" written by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elem EYRİCE TEPECİKLİOĞLU (with F. Vreÿ and B. Baser), Head of the Department of Area Studies, was published in the Journal of Balkan and Near Eastern Studies.

The conference paper titled "Eating the Korean Wave: Korean Restaurants in Ankara" presented the preliminary findings of the project led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hatice Çelik from the Department of Asian Studies including Dr. Yusuf Avcı from the same department, and Sıla Selin Türkel, a doctoral student in the Department of Area Studies, as researchers. The paper was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr.

Indonesian Embassy Counsellor Dhanny Perkasa and Political Analyst Arife Delibaş visited Asian Studies Department and exchanged views on bilateral cooperation.
