Institute for Eastern and African Studies and Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities’ students visited TIKA on 06.01.2020. During this visit, Head of the Department of Middle East and Africa Mr. Bülent Korkmaz gave information on TIKA's development assistance and projects.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Hatice Çelik, Department Chair of Asian Studies, made a presentation at a session titled “Turkey's Southeast Asia Policy” at the Asia Anew Workshop organized by the Center for Strategic Research on 26 December 2019.

As part of ASBEN 2019 Colloquium Series,  Dr. Veysel Tekdal (Eskisehir Osmangazi University) gave a seminar titled, " China’s State-led & Decentralized Capitalism: Insights from the Cities of Western China " on Tuesday, December 17th at DOAF 110.
