As part of ASBEN 2020 Colloquium Series, faculty member of Istanbul Medeniyet University and Former Chad Ambassador of Turkish Republic Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kavas gave a seminar titled, "Future of African Studies" on Friday, February 21th at Rectorate Guvercinlik Hall.

As part of ASBEN 2020 Colloquium Series, former Ambassador Numan Hazar gave a seminar titled, " Turkey-Africa Relations" on Thursday, January 16th at Rectorate Guvercinlik Hall. The Ambassador spoke about Turkey-Africa relations in a historical perspective and emphasized that the importance of increasing relations in recent years.

Within the framework of ASBEN visits, a visit was made to the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Somalia on 13.01.2020. The Somali Ambassador to Turkey, H.E. Mr Jama Abdullahi Mohamed spoke about Somalia-Turkey relations and the latest developments in Somalia.
